10年前、二人は
別々の道を歩くしかなかった。

「もし10年後、
お互いが一人だったら、
紫陽花の咲く時期に、
この場所で再会しよう」

そう約束して、二人は別れた。

そして、ついに約束の日がやってきた。

彼も、彼女も、
それぞれの10年を胸に
約束の場所へ向かった。

二人を隔てているのは、
あと数歩。

一歩、また一歩と近づくたび、
胸の高鳴りは大きくなっていく。

その先には、

10年前、
手放すしかなかった恋の続きが、

二人を待っている…

A Promise from Ten Years Ago

Ten years ago, the two of them
had no choice but to walk separate paths.

“If, ten years from now,
we are both on our own,
let’s meet again in this place
when the hydrangeas are in bloom.”

With that promise, they said goodbye.

And at last, the promised day arrived.

Carrying the weight of their own ten years,
he and she made their way
to the place where they had promised to meet.

Only a few steps separate them now.

With every step they take toward one another,
their hearts beat faster and faster.

Just ahead,

the rest of the love story
they had no choice but to leave behind
ten years ago

is waiting for them…

※ この作品には、当時、少しの間だけ水彩画を習っていた頃に描いた紫陽花の絵を使っています。

その絵をコピーして大きさを変え、切り取って使いながら、
二人の間にある距離感を表せるよう、
レイヤーを意識して仕上げました。

※ This piece includes a hydrangea painting
that I created during a short period
when I was learning watercolor.

I copied the painting, changed its size,
and cut it out to use in the collage,
building up the layers in a way
that could express the sense of distance between the two people.
