猫の仕立て屋

猫は、小さな仕立て屋さんを開いた。

ある日、お友達が
初めてのお客さんを連れてきてくれた。

自分が作ったお洋服を
気に入ってくれるかな……。

初めてのお客さんを前に、
猫はいてもたってもいられず、
糸巻きをぎゅっと抱きしめながら
その様子を見守っていた……

The cat opened
a small tailor shop.

One day, one of the cat’s friends
brought its very first customer.

Would they like
the clothes
the cat had made…?

With its very first
customer there,
the cat could hardly
sit still,

holding a spool
of thread tightly
as it watched…

※糸巻きを抱いている猫のシールを見たときに、
ふとこのストーリーが浮かびました。

今回は、猫の下の部分に
10枚ほどのシールを使い、
レースやボタンなどを
レイヤーのように重ねています。

一枚ずつシールを重ねていく作業が
とてもワクワクして、
「やっぱり私はレイヤーが好きなんだな」と
改めて感じながら、
楽しく作ることができました。

最後をどうしようかと考えたとき、
猫のお友達にお客さんを連れてきてもらおうと思い、
このようなストーリーにしました。

※When I saw the sticker of the cat
holding a spool of thread,
this story suddenly came to mind.

For this piece,
I used about ten stickers beneath the cat,
layering elements such as lace and buttons.

Layering the stickers one by one
was very exciting,
and as I worked,
I found myself thinking,
“I really do love layers.”

I had a lot of fun creating this piece.

As I wondered how to end the story,
I decided to have the cat’s friend
bring a customer to the shop,
and that is how this story came together.
