お姉ちゃんのあとを…

お姉ちゃんのことが大好きな弟。
今日もそのあとを、トコトコ、トコトコ。

紅葉狩りに出かければ、
お姉ちゃんが見つけたきれいな葉っぱを、
弟も嬉しそうに真似して手に取る。

そんな二人の姿を、
草むらの向こうからリスがそっと見つめ、
そのやさしい空気に誘われるように、
蝶々たちまでふわりと集まってきた。

そしてカッパさんも、
この温かな雰囲気の仲間に入りたくなったのか、
二人にキノコをプレゼントしようと、
一生懸命、こちらへ駆け寄ってくる……

A little brother
who adores his big sister.

Once again today,
he follows after her,
step by step,
toddling along.

When they go out
to see the autumn leaves,
he happily follows his big sister’s lead
and picks up
a beautiful leaf she has found.

A squirrel quietly watches
the two of them
from beyond the grass,
and, as if drawn
by that gentle atmosphere,
even the butterflies
come fluttering over.

And the kappa too,
perhaps wanting to become part of
that warm atmosphere,
and hoping to give
the two of them a mushroom,
comes hurrying this way
with all its might…

※もみじのシールなどを見て、
秋らしいコラージュを作ってみたいなと思ったところから、
今回の作品を考え始めました。

そして今回は、
これまであまり作品にしたことのなかった、
きょうだいの温かいつながりをテーマにしてみたいと思いました。

私自身にも弟がいるのですが、
幼い頃のことを思い出していると、
いつも弟が私の後ろについてきていたな、と
ふと思い出しました。

そんな幼い頃の記憶や、
「こんなふうだったらよかったな」という思いなど、
いろいろなことをイメージしながら、
今回の作品に仕上げました。

私にとって初めてのテーマでしたが、
いかがだったでしょうか。

※When I saw the maple leaf stickers,
I thought I would like to create
an autumn-themed collage,
and that was where this piece began.

This time, I also wanted to explore
the warm bond between siblings,
a theme I had not really used
in my work before.

I have a younger brother myself,
and as I thought back to our childhood,
I suddenly remembered
how he would always follow along behind me.

As I imagined various things,
including those childhood memories
and thoughts of,
“I wish it could have been like this,”
I brought them together
in this piece.

It was a new theme for me.
