もう一度、ひとつへ向かう世界

ばらばらに見えても、
みんな同じ場所に立っている…

離れているようで、
本当はずっとつながっている…

少しずつ歩み寄ることで、
ほどけたものが、また結び直されていく…

それはきっと、
名前をつけるなら“平和”と呼ばれるもの…

特別なことじゃなくて、
ただ本来のかたちに戻っていくだけ…

A World Finding Its Way Back to One

Even when we seem apart,
we stand on the same ground…

Though we feel separated,
we have always been connected…

With each step toward one another,
what was once loosened begins to tie again…

Perhaps this is what we call “peace”…

Nothing extraordinary,
just a quiet return to what has always been…

※ この作品は、平和をテーマに作りました。

世界のさまざまな場所で戦争が続く中で、
「どうしてみんな仲良くできないのだろう」
という思いがあり、
その気持ちを動物たちを通して表現しました。

私の中では、平和について考える時、
その根底にあるのは「思いやり」だと感じています。
相手を思いやる気持ちがあれば、
争いは少しでも減っていくのではないか。
そんな思いも、この作品に込めました。

とても思いの強い作品だった分、
その気持ちを形にすることの難しさを
初めて強く感じた作品でもあります。

完成までには、かなり時間をかけました。

※ This piece was created around the theme of peace.

With wars continuing in different parts of the world,
I found myself wondering,
“Why can’t everyone live together in peace?”

I expressed those feelings through animals.

For me, when I think about peace,
the idea at the heart of it is compassion.
I feel that if we could care more deeply about one another,
perhaps conflicts could be reduced.

That feeling is also part of what I wanted to express in this piece.

Because the feelings behind this work were so strong,
it was also the first time I truly experienced
how difficult it can be to turn those emotions into a visual form.

It took me quite a long time to complete this work.
