やっと一人で

蝶ネクタイを結べるようになった…

少し前までできなかったことが

今日はできた…

それだけなのに、

なんだか少し大人になれた気がした…

机の上の地球儀を回しながら、

遠い国々に思いを馳せる…

いつか、

パリへ行ってみたい…

いつか、

夢を叶えたい…

今日できた小さなことが、

この少年の勇気となり、

未来へ向かって歩き出す

大きな一歩になりますように…

Dreams Beyond the Globe…

I finally learned how to tie my bow tie
by myself…

Something I couldn’t do before,

I could do today…

It was only a small thing,

yet it made me feel a little more grown up…

As I spun the globe on my desk,

my thoughts wandered to distant countries…

Someday,

I want to visit Paris…

Someday,

I want to make my dreams come true…

May this small achievement become the courage

that helps this boy take a great step

toward his future…

この作品では、少年が「いつか自分の足でパリの街を歩いてみたい」と思い描いているようなイメージで作りました。

そんな憧れや思いが重なっていく様子を、
いくつもの紙を重ねたレイヤーで表現しています。

For this piece, I imagined a boy dreaming that one day
he would walk through the streets of Paris on his own.

I expressed those layered feelings of longing and hope
by building the composition with several layers of paper.
