ぼくに来るはずだったキャンディーの甘さは、
飛び出してきた猫ちゃんに驚いて、
ふたりのあいだで
小さく宙に舞ったままだった。

やさしい午後なのに、
胸の奥だけが
少しだけ甘く苦かった…

The Candy That Stopped Between Us

The sweetness of the candy
that was supposed to come to me
was suddenly interrupted
by the little cat that jumped in,

and stayed floating softly
between the two of us.

Even though it was such a gentle afternoon,
something deep inside me
felt just a little bittersweet…

※ この作品は、一見シンプルに見えるのですが、
その中にある微妙な感情をどう表現するか、
試行錯誤しながら作った作品です。

この頃から、
感情を自分のコラージュの世界の中で
どのように表現していくかということが、
少しずつ自分の中で固まり始めました。

私にとって、
その表現の形が見え始めた作品の一つでもあります。

※ Although this piece may look simple at first,
I created it through a process of trial and error,
thinking carefully about how to express the subtle emotions within it.

Around this time,
I began to find my own way of expressing emotions
within the world of my collages.

For me, this was one of the pieces
in which that form of expression began to take shape.
