道標の向こうの未来…

街を歩いていた女の子。
ふと、一つの道標を見つけた。

その示す方へ歩いていくと、
一人の女性が見えてきた。

「あれ……？
あの人、もしかして未来の私？」

そして、その女性を
熱い眼差しで見つめる男性が
いることに気づく。

「え……じゃあ、
あの人は……？」

逆さまの時計の向こうで、
まだ知らない未来が
見えてきた気がして……

A girl was walking through town.
Suddenly, she found a signpost.

She walked in the direction it pointed,
and a woman came into view.

“Wait…?
Could that woman be me
in the future?”

Then she noticed a man
gazing intensely at the woman.

“Wait… then,
could that man be…?”

Beyond the upside-down clock,
she felt as though a future
she had never known
was coming into view…

※この作品は、
少女と、少し成長した女性のシールを見たときに、
二人の洋服の雰囲気が
なんとなく似ているなと感じたところから始まりました。

二人を眺めているうちに、
「この少女が成長したら、
こんな女性になるのかな」と、
ふとイメージが浮かびました。

まだ恋を知らない少女が、
少し先の自分の未来を見たときに、
「私もいつか素敵な人と……」
そんなことを思い描くような物語が
頭の中に浮かび、
この作品にしました。

今回、男性のシールについては、
素材を自分で制作しました。

顔の向きや洋服の雰囲気、
そして女性を見つめる眼差しなど、
自分のイメージに近づくまで
何度も細かく調整を重ねて仕上げました。

※This piece began when I looked at
the stickers of a young girl
and a slightly older woman
and noticed that their clothes
somehow had a similar feel.

As I looked at the two of them,
an image suddenly came to mind:

“Maybe this is what the girl
will be like when she grows up.”

I imagined a girl
who does not yet know what love is,
looking ahead to her future and thinking,

“Maybe someday, I too will meet someone special…”

That idea came to mind,
and from there I created this piece.

For this piece,
I created the material for the male figure myself.

I repeatedly made detailed adjustments
to the direction of his face,
the style and atmosphere of his clothing,
and even the way he looks at the woman,
until he came close to the image
I had in mind.
